Zac & Cait's Lake Affect Studios Wedding in Cleveland, OH

Cait & Zac...what can I even say about these two? They are both stunning and funny and sarcastic and huge dorks. They're so kind and sweet that you would feel like part of their family if you got to know them even a few minutes. When Marcus and I first met up with them back in 2018 we knew we really wanted to shoot their wedding. We sat and talked for almost 2 hours and left knowing that if they chose us for their wedding day....it was going to be a blast.

Their wedding day started at the Kimpton Schoefield Hotel in downtown Cleveland. It was my first time photographing the getting ready portion of the day at this hotel and you guys....it is amazing. If every single one of my couples could please get ready there, that'd be great! (ALSO...VERY IMPORTANT: THEY ALLOW DOGS! Winston was there during the getting ready portion of the day and he was just the BEST boy.)

Their suite was a great size. There were at least 10 of us in there and it never felt crowded. The decor is perfect and eclectic and refreshing. The natural light in there is just magnificent & you get an amazing view right out your window of Heinen's and 9th street. We even made friend with a pigeon who was hanging out in the balcony haha!

We had their first look right in the lobby of the hotel. The lobby might not be huge but it is so pretty. We did portraits of the two of them in the lobby and stepped right outside for all of 15 minutes to get some photos is just Cait and Zac downtown. In that short amount of time we got so many varieties of photos. We also took the time to do a few photos right outside the hotel. After about 20 minutes of photos we went to Voinovich Park by the pier for photos with the entire wedding party. We surprisingly didn't have to fight any other wedding party for photos in front of the Cleveland Script Sign. I love this spot for photos because of the variety of spots you can go to for photos without having to go very far. We hit up the Tremont Towpath Trail for a few last photos before we headed to Lake Affects Studio for their ceremony & reception.

Cait and Zac opted out of cake for their wedding and instead went with Brewnuts! They also had a big pizza bar for dinner & wine for their guests to take home. Their ceremony was short and sentimental. I only cried a few times haha! & their reception...well...you can take a glimpse into what their reception was like.

We had such an amazing time on their wedding day. We felt so much like family. So appreciated. You could really feel the love their friends and family had for them on their special day.
