A Love Note About Vendors

I was thinking about making a PDF for my clients to have of a list of vendors and venues that I have worked with personally and loved. But then I thought...why not share it with everyone?

So, I'll probably keep this short and simple. Here is a list of Cleveland area wedding vendors that I love working with!

DJ:

I had at least 4 or 5 weddings with DJ DC with Cleveland Music Group and every single reception has gone off without a hitch. He is personable and funny. He is ready to take the mic and keep the party moving. He makes easy transitions from one event to the next and knows how to read a crowd.

Florists:

Blossom Cleveland-

My friend Megan over at Blossom Cleveland is wonderful! Not only as a human being, but as a florist. She is down to make your wedding floral dreams come true. Whether you want simple floral arrangements and bouquets or you want to think outside the box with your wedding flowers. She is so knowledgeable about what is in season, what flowers go best together and even about flowers you haven't heard of. Her passion for her work shows in every single arrangement, boutonniere and bouquet she makes.

Urban Orchid- Brandon, Jeff and their team are so great to work with. They made an amazing backdrop for my client's ceremony and stuck around after the ceremony was over so they could move the backdrop over to the reception space. Not only is their work gorgeous, different and special, they are really great to work with!

Make Up Artist:

Make Up by Meredith. Hands. Down. I recommend her to everyone. (Wedding client or personal branding client). She has personally done my make up on several occasions and she is amazing. I was second shooting a wedding with my friend Oona over at Dragonfly Photography about 2 years ago when I first met Meredith. She was doing make up on a gorgeous bride and we spent at least 2 hours doing photos outside, in the rain/drizzle and her make up was flawless ALL NIGHT. I feel like that's all you gotta know!

Hotels:

Kimpton Schoefield- Not only is this downtown Cleveland hotel absolutely gorgeous (their suites are amazing with a ton of great natural light, their lobby is so chic and their suites are decorated in such a great way) but their staff is SO nice and accommodating. ALSO important to mention that they are pet friendly!

The 9- Another really beautiful and modern downtown Cleveland Hotel that is oozing with classiness. They have really pretty bold red velvet couches that I love to use as a backdrop for details, they have gorgeous chandeliers in their bedrooms and really pretty fireplaces!

Acoustic Guitar Player:

Rick Iacoboni. Rick played for about an hour before and during my client's ceremony. He had an extensive selection of music you could pick from and added such an amazing ambiance to the evening. I highly suggest getting in touch with him even if it's only to have him come out for an hour.

Venues:

Lake Affect Studios-

I have loved working with Amanda and Stephanie at Lake Affect Studios! I love their space because it is a blank slate and can be anything you want it to be. It has an industrial feel to it with some exposed beams and brick. They are easy to work with and treat their vendors great! They have an auxiliary space that can be used for ceremonies, a bar area and also an outdoor patio area with some great bistro lighting.

Pier W - is such a wonderful spot if you're planning on having a small reception or even a brunch wedding. They have a wonderful patio area that overlooks Cleveland where you can have your ceremony. They have a private room for getting ready and their food is TO DIE FOR. Seriously delicious.

Patterson's Fruit Farm - in Chesterland is the perfect fall wedding spot. They have some of the most magnificent fall colors in Ohio. You can get married outside overlooking their amazing property. They have a separate area for the couple to get ready which is so nice to have on the wedding day.

MISC:

Vintage Flatware- Staple & Layer:

I met Brittany with Staple & Layer when I did the After The Answer boutique wedding show at Lake Affect Studios and she is so nice! Her company is amazing and I had no idea it was even an offering you could have at your wedding. She has an extensive collection of vintage tabletop rentals and she also does floral designs. What a wonderfully unique company that can help you personalize your wedding day even more. Your tablescapes will look extra gorgeous with colored goblets, vintage china, gold flatware or even vintage brass candlesticks.

Macrame -Miss Wanderer:

Annamarie with Miss Wanderer is such a sweet and funny person. She and I hit it off immediately when I met her at After The Answer. She makes the most beautiful macrame backdrops, centerpiece/vase covers, favors, bouquet wraps....you name it. She ALSO does macrame classes (which are super fun! I went to the one she hosts at Lakewood Plant Company and it was a blast) and could do a private class as a bridesmaids get-together, part of your bachelorette night, something to do with your future MIL/SIL. The ideas are endless here.

Uplighting / Lighting: Solus Lighting

They have provided uplighting for Lake Affect Studios when I have been there for a wedding, a wedding show and for our Styled Shoot. They have a variety of lighting available and it always photographs super well!

I'll probably be updating this blog post a few times a year with new vendors that I love working with so be sure to check back. And if you have any questions about specific vendors or would like for me to highlight a different kind of vendor let me know!
